Iran has executed a man accused of spying for the United States and Israel, according to the country’s judiciary.
The man, identified as Erfan Shakourzadeh, was reportedly hanged for working with the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad.

Iranian authorities said he worked at a scientific organisation involved in satellite activities and was accused of passing secret information to the CIA and Mossad.
The judiciary did not say when he was arrested or exactly when the execution took place.
Iran has often faced accusations from Western countries that its satellite programme is linked to the development of ballistic missiles.
According to the judiciary, Shakourzadeh knowingly shared classified information with foreign intelligence agencies.
Human rights groups say Iran is one of the countries with the highest number of executions in the world, second only to China.
A Norway-based human rights organisation, Iran Human Rights, claimed that Iran executed at least 1,500 people last year.
The report comes as tensions remain high between Iran, Israel, and the United States.
Although a ceasefire has been in place since April 8, Iran has reportedly increased executions, especially for cases related to spying and national security.
Last week, Iran also executed three men accused of involvement in anti-government protests that took place earlier in the year.
