The United States has widened its military strikes on Iran, attacking several areas across the country, including Bushehr, where Iran’s only working nuclear power plant is located.
The latest attacks come after a ceasefire agreed in June broke down, leading to renewed fighting in the Middle East.
Oil prices also rose as both sides fought over the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global oil shipments.
According to the report, Iran again blocked the Strait of Hormuz, while the US responded by blocking Iranian ports.
Iranian state media said several provinces with military bases and air defence systems were hit. In Bushehr, Governor Mohammad Mozaffari said several places in the city were struck by US missiles.
In East Azerbaijan Province, local officials said one person was killed and several others were injured.
Despite the fighting, Iran’s Foreign Ministry said indirect talks with the United States were still continuing through mediators.
In the Strait of Hormuz, a ship caught fire after being hit by an unknown projectile.
The crew escaped safely and was rescued, but the vessel remained on fire and drifting at sea.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio called on other countries to help protect international shipping in the region.
He said the United States would continue to protect global trade routes but needed support from its allies.
The US military also said it had carried out another night of strikes on Iran.
President Donald Trump said the attacks caused heavy damage.
The report also said three more US service members had died, bringing the total number of confirmed American military deaths in the conflict to 17.
Iran’s Health Ministry said at least 50 people had been killed and more than 500 injured in recent fighting.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards also claimed they carried out attacks on US-linked targets in Syria, Jordan and Kuwait.
Kuwait said its air defence systems were responding to hostile drone attacks, while Bahrain sounded air raid sirens and urged people to move to safe places.
The conflict continues, even as diplomatic efforts remain ongoing.
