Nigerian journalist Livinus Chibuike Victor has shattered the Guinness World Record for the longest interview marathon, clocking an impressive 74 hours and 10 seconds. Victor, who aimed to surpass the current record of 55 hours and 24 seconds, exceeded his own target of 72 hours and 30 seconds.

He achieved this feat by interviewing 129 guests from diverse fields, including Princess Edna Azurra, National President of the National Council for Women Societies (NCWS),
Nneoma R. Okorocha, former First Lady of Imo State, Comrade Grace Ike, Chairman NUJ FCT, Chief Moji Makanjuola, MFR, former NAWOJ President, Rtn Evelyn Onyilo, former NAWOJ Presiden, Chief Ladi Bala, former NAWOJ President,Comrade Bassey Ita Ikpang, Chairperson NAWOJ
Other are personalities from,Nollywood figures, Entrepreneurs, Media leaders.

The marathon, themed “Nigeria Our Strength,” aimed to promote press freedom, highlight the role of journalism in democracy, and celebrate Nigerian resilience. Victor’s record attempt drew widespread support from colleagues, including the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ).

“This is not just about breaking a record; it’s about being an ambassador for press freedom,” said Comrade Grace Ike, Chairman NUJ FCT. Victor’s achievement is a testament to the power of journalism in shaping society and holding those in power accountable.

The official declaration from Guinness World Records is pending, but Victor’s feat has already sparked widespread acclaim and admiration for his dedication to journalism and press freedom.
