Paris Saint-Germain have completed the signing of Spain forward Ferran Torres from Barcelona in a major transfer announced on Saturday.
The French champions have agreed a contract with Torres that will keep him at the club until 2031. Although the clubs did not officially disclose the transfer fee, reports put the deal at around €50 million.
The 26-year-old joins PSG after an impressive season with Barcelona, where he scored 21 goals and provided three assists in 49 appearances.
Torres was also one of Spain’s key players during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, scoring the extra-time winning goal against Argentina in the final as Spain lifted the trophy.
His move to PSG will see him reunite with coach Luis Enrique, who previously managed him with the Spanish national team.
Speaking after completing the transfer, Torres expressed his excitement about joining PSG and working with the club’s ambitious squad.
Luis Enrique also welcomed the signing, describing Torres as an important addition as PSG continue to strengthen their squad.
Torres joined Barcelona from Manchester City in 2022 for an initial fee of about €55 million.
After four seasons at the Catalan club, he now begins a new chapter in France.
His departure comes after a productive 2025/26 campaign in which Barcelona retained the La Liga title.
PSG are expected to rely on Torres to provide goals and attacking options following the departure of Gonçalo Ramos to AC Milan.
The transfer is among the biggest confirmed moves of the summer window and highlights PSG’s continued efforts to build a squad capable of competing for domestic and European honours.
The summer transfer window remains open, with European clubs continuing to make moves ahead of the new season.
