Super Falcons forward Rinsola Babajide says Nigeria are ready to face Cameroon in the quarter-finals of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The defending champions will take on the Indomitable Lionesses at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca on Sunday.
The winner of the match will reach the semi-finals and also qualify for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Nigeria had a slow start to the tournament but recovered to reach the knockout stage after finishing second in Group C.Cameroon topped Group D and are yet to lose a match in the competition.
Babajide said the Super Falcons understand Cameroon’s strengths and are prepared for the important match.
“We are very excited to play Cameroon. We have played against them a couple of times before, we know their strengths, we are prepared and ready to face them,” Babajide said on the Super Falcons Show.
She added that the team is focused on winning the match and securing a place at the 2027 World Cup.
“We know why we are here. We need to get the ticket to the World Cup. We are focused, and we are ready,” she said.
