An Abuja High Court has ordered the permanent forfeiture of assets linked to businesswoman Aisha Achimugu to the Federal Government.
The assets include jewellery worth ₦4.645 billion, 11 luxury vehicles valued at ₦4.293 billion, 50,000 US dollars in cash, and ₦30 million in cash.
Justice Jude Onwugbuzie gave the order on Thursday after granting an application filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The EFCC had asked the court to permanently seize the assets, saying they were linked to its investigation involving Achimugu.
With the ruling, the jewellery, vehicles and cash will now become the property of the Federal Government. The assets had earlier been the subject of legal proceedings before the court issued the final forfeiture order.
