Real Madrid have officially signed Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig on a seven-year contract that will keep him at the Spanish club until June 2033.
The club confirmed the transfer on Thursday.
Although Real Madrid did not reveal the transfer fee, reports said the deal is worth around €125 million, with additional performance-related bonuses that could make it one of the biggest transfers in the club’s history.
The 19-year-old impressed during his first season at RB Leipzig, scoring 12 goals and providing nine assists in all competitions.
His performances also earned him a regular place in the Ivory Coast national team.Speaking after completing the move, Diomande described joining Real Madrid as a dream come true.
“It’s a childhood dream come true,” he said.
Diomande is expected to strengthen Real Madrid’s attack as the club prepares for the new season under coach José Mourinho.
