Happy As Adeleke Secures Second Term as Osun Governor

Governor Ademola Adeleke has won re-election as Osun State governor after defeating his closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Returning Officer for the election, Joshua Ogunwole, announced the result at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) collation centre in Osogbo on Sunday.

Adeleke, who contested under the Accord Party, polled 511,067 votes, while Oyebamiji scored 444,815 votes.

Adeleke won in 19 of the state’s 30 local government areas, while the APC candidate won 11.

His victory gives him another four years in office after he was first elected governor in 2022. �
