Former Big Brother Naija housemate Tochi has advised ex-housemates who are struggling financially to stop depending on their celebrity status and focus on building their careers.
Tochi said being a former reality TV star does not automatically guarantee long-term success.
He advised his former colleagues to work hard, develop businesses and look for other opportunities instead of depending on the fame they gained from the show.
In a message shared on Instagram, Tochi said he stopped seeing himself simply as a reality TV personality in 2024.
He said he now sees himself as a businessman and believes every former housemate has to find their own path after leaving the show.
Tochi also advised ex-housemates to surround themselves with people who support, motivate and encourage them.
He warned them not to allow people to make them feel that they must succeed simply because they appeared on television.
According to him, people should see former housemates not only as celebrities but also as hardworking individuals trying to build successful lives.
He encouraged those going through difficult times to remain focused and keep working because success can come through different paths.
