US President Donald Trump has said that American forces are ready to launch attacks on Iran if the Tehran government attempts to assassinate him.
Trump made the statement in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, where he said missiles had been prepared to protect him from any possible attack by Iran.
He said a large number of weapons had already been positioned and could be used if Iran carries out what he described as threats to attack him.
Trump added that the US military has the orders and capability to destroy major parts of Iran if any attack is carried out against him.
