The Nigeria Police Force has rescued Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, from kidnappers
.Mrs. John-Paul is the younger sister of Adebayo Adelabu.
The rescue operation took place around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026.
Police said the victims were found alive and unharmed.
According to police sources, the victims were kidnapped on the morning of June 3, 2026, while Mrs. John-Paul was taking her children to school.
During the rescue operation, police officers exchanged gunfire with the kidnappers.
Two suspected kidnappers were killed, and two guns were recovered from them.
Police said intelligence gathering and continuous tracking of the suspects helped security operatives locate the kidnappers and rescue the victims.
Security agencies are still searching nearby areas for other members of the kidnapping gang.
Some of the suspects are believed to have escaped with gunshot injuries.
The police have not yet released further details about the incident, but investigations and the manhunt for the remaining suspects are continuing.
