Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has criticised the economic policies of President Bola Tinubu, saying Nigeria is losing capital as foreign investors withdraw about N266 billion from the country.
Atiku said the withdrawal of foreign portfolio investments shows that investors are losing confidence in Nigeria’s economy.
He described the development as a sign that the government needs to do more to create a stable environment for businesses and investors.
According to him, the movement of investors’ money out of Nigeria is a major concern because the country needs foreign and local investment to grow its economy and create jobs.
Atiku said the capital flight should push the government to review its economic policies and take steps to restore investors’ confidence.
