However, Curaçao shocked the crowd when Livano Comenencia scored in the 21st minute, marking the country’s first-ever goal in World Cup history.
The celebration did not last long as Germany responded strongly.
Nico Schlotterbeck restored Germany’s lead before Kai Havertz added a third goal from the penalty spot just before halftime.
In the second half, Germany continued to dominate, with Jamal Musiala, Nathaniel Brown, and Deniz Undav adding more goals.
Havertz also scored his second goal of the match.
The victory earned Germany three points and a strong goal difference, while Curaçao left the pitch despite the defeat with the pride of having scored their first-ever World Cup goal.
