Aliko Dangote has expressed confidence that his planned refinery in Kenya will proceed despite a land dispute that has reached the courts.
A Kenyan court ordered that the current situation on the land remain unchanged until a hearing on October 14.
Residents of Chandavai in Lamu County claim the land belongs to their families.
Dangote said his group was prepared to face legal challenges and suggested that the dispute would not stop the project.
The proposed Lamu refinery is expected to process 700,000 barrels of crude oil per day and cost between $15bn and $16bn.
