Veteran Nigerian actor and film executive, Olu Jacobs, has died at the age of 84.
His son, Olusoji Jacobs, announced his death on Instagram on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.
He said the family was grateful for his life and asked the public to respect their privacy.
The family described Olu Jacobs as a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle.
Olu Jacobs was one of Nigeria’s most respected actors, with a career spanning theatre, television and film.
He was also a film executive who played an important role in the growth of Nigeria’s film industry.
He was widely known for his strong performances in Nigerian and international productions and remained one of the country’s most recognised actors.
