Former Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, has been arrested at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu.
According to a report, Nnaji was arrested on Wednesday morning while preparing to board a chartered flight to Abuja.

He is expected to be handed over to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for further investigation.
The arrest follows a Federal High Court order issued in June directing the ICPC to arrest him over allegations that he forged his academic certificates.
The court also allowed the agency to declare him wanted if he failed to appear.
The ICPC told the court that Nnaji repeatedly ignored its invitations during the investigation.
Nnaji is accused of submitting fake certificates from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) during his ministerial appointment in 2023.
He resigned from President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet in October 2025, saying he stepped down to allow due process and not because he was guilty.
Before his arrest, Nnaji had denied the allegations and challenged the court order at the Court of Appeal.
As of the time of reporting, neither Nnaji nor the ICPC had released an official statement on the arrest.
