The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, in the sum of N100 million with one surety.
Justice Joyce Abdulmalik said the surety must live in either Maitama or Asokoro in Abuja and must submit the original Certificate of Occupancy of a landed property to the court.

The surety must also be a federal civil servant of at least Grade Level 17 and provide proof of salary payments for the last three months.
The documents must be confirmed by the surety’s bank manager.
The court also ordered the surety to submit an affidavit of means, sign a bail bond, and provide a recent passport photograph.
As part of the bail conditions, El-Rufai must submit all his valid international passports to the court.
The judge also ordered the surety to provide a verification letter from their department and a tax clearance certificate for the last six months.
In addition, El-Rufai must report to the headquarters of the Department of State Services every last Friday of the month by 10 a.m. to sign an attendance register until the case is decided.
The judge warned that if any of the bail conditions are not met, the bail will be cancelled automatically.
The court also ordered El-Rufai to provide a letter of attestation from the Chairman of the Kaduna Traditional Council.
