Atiku, Obi, Amaechi Helping APC With Their Disagreements — Oshiomhole

Former Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has said disagreements among opposition leaders ahead of the 2027 election are helping the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme, Oshiomhole said opposition figures are busy attacking one another instead of uniting against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He said former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, through his criticism of Peter Obi, was indirectly helping the APC.

He also said Obi had criticised former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi, while Amaechi described both Obi and Atiku as regional politicians.

According to Oshiomhole, the opposition lacks unity and clear policy alternatives to challenge the current government.

He also questioned whether opposition leaders would reverse some of Tinubu’s policies, including fuel subsidy removal, tax reforms and the student loan programme.

Oshiomhole added that former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is also expected to play a major role in opposition politics ahead of 2027.
